Jo Lawrence's biography
Jo Lawrence took up her first senior post in neurorehabilitation in 1981 and has specialised in this field of physiotherapy since. She has experience in treating a wide range of neurological conditions, most commonly stroke, head injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Guillain Barre syndrome and incomplete spinal cord injury. She treats patients either in their own home environment or in the practice depending on their individual needs. Her special interest is in the treatment of symptoms following cerebrovascular accident (stroke) and head injury, often seeing patients from early on in their recovery up to advising on returning to work, driving, sports and other aspects of daily life. She particularly enjoys helping young people and is advisor to the Redbridge branch of ‘Different Strokes’, a charity for young stroke survivors. Jo Lawrence: loughton@elaineatkins.com |
