Jo Lawrence took
up her first senior post in neurorehabilitation in 1981 and has
specialised in this field of physiotherapy since. She has experience
in treating a wide range of neurological conditions, most commonly
stroke, head injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease,
Guillain Barre syndrome and incomplete spinal cord injury. She
treats patients either in their own home environment or in the
practice depending on their individual needs.
Her special interest is in the treatment of symptoms
following cerebrovascular accident (stroke) and head injury, often

on returning to work, driving, sports and other aspects of daily
life. She particularly enjoys helping young people and is advisor
to the Redbridge branch of ‘Different Strokes’, a
charity for young stroke survivors.
