Dr Elaine Atkins started ‘Elaine
Atkins Physiotherapy’ in Leytonstone in 1980 and has since
established two thriving practices in Woodford Green and
Loughton. Elaine qualified at St Thomas’ Hospital
in 1973 and followed a path in specialist orthopaedics from
Edinburgh to South Africa and eventually to north-east London.
She has firmly based herself in the local medical community
and now, as ‘Elaine Atkins Associates’, she works together
with a team of highly qualified chartered physiotherapists,
each of whom shares her commitment to practising to the
highest professional standards.
Co-author of two best-selling textbooks, ‘Orthopaedic Medicine
– a Practical Approach’ and ‘Musculoskeletal Injection Skills’
Elaine lectures extensively in the UK, principally through
her links with the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. She
holds a Doctorate in Professional Studies (Orthopaedic Medicine
Education) and continues to be committed to her clinical
practice with the prime focus of providing the highest standards
of patient care and a better practice for all.
